Teacher Mentor Training
Are there any Moodle site administrators out there?
If you are a Moodle administrator or the person that maintains your organisation’s Moodle site can you tell me roughly what sort of extra workload I can expect in the setting up, designing and maintain a Moodle site for a School with 1,400 students (11-19) and their parents / carers, about 300 on-site staff, a further 200 to 300 staff that use the school for INSET and Professional Development purposes, the sporting facilities and other support reasons, 4,000 adult learners in the community and possibly the option of being used by a far wider network of trainee teachers and their mentors in the various affiliated primary and secondary schools in the area that we support as a fully accredited Education Based Initial Teacher Training provider. I am thinking that this is going to be an absolutely horrendous amount of work to maintain, control access and enforce decent security to our webserver let alone set-up and design. Any thoughts even about much smaller sites would be appreciated.
