My dad and my teacher keep saying skills skills skills. I need skills to set me apart from the rest. Question is when do you know you have enough skills? My mom went for an interview once and was told she was over-qualified for the job and they turned her down. I don’t want that to happen, but I do want to make a difference and stand out above others when applying for a job Skills I have now: Animal care and restraint skills can read and speak some German What I want for skills is typing; computer is a must and something for a hobby like photography. Does anyone know where I can go to get more info on these skills?

You’re on your way but you have plenty of time to get more. I think learning Spanish is a good thing to do. Your father is right though; the more skills you have to work with the more you are worth in the work place. Going to college will also get you ahead in the world. I would make a list of things you would like to do and cross them off as you complete them. It’s good that you are thinking about this now. This will give you an edge on knowing what direction to go in your general education
