Multi Level Marketing: Mentoring Relationships

There has been a surge in Multi Level Marketing as more traditional jobs have decreased or become less profitable. One of the keys used by most of the Multi Level Marketing companies is the mentor relationship. A good mentor will show you the way to succeed and encourage you along the way. Here are a few ways to get help from your upline as well as give help to your downline.

Provide a strong line of communication. There are several options for communications. Phone messaging services are available that will help with Multi Level Marketing by giving you a voicemail box to capture communications specifically to and from your mentor and upline or your downline.

Emails are always helpful in Multi Level Marketing mentoring, as long as you do not rely on them too much. They are handy for reminding your down line of events in your network. Your mentor can use email to quickly check how you are doing in general. She can ask specific questions that will help her to know where you need help.

However, it is not a good idea to rely totally on email for Multi Level Marketing unless you have no other choice. If you can set up phone appointments with your mentor or the person whom you are mentoring, you can get a better feel for that person’s knowledge and dedication. Also, it is one thing to say in an email that you are excited about the new line of products, but you can illustrate how intense that enthusiasm is when you talk to a mentor or member of your down line with your own voice.

Focus on product knowledge. Learn information about the new products, as well as old ones, from your up line. Your Multi Level Marketing mentor should be able to give you training materials as well as testimonials and her own personal experiences with the product. You can then pass that information on to your down line, to the people whom you are mentoring.

Share motivational resources. Whether it is a book, a CD or DVD, or just a wise saying, motivational materials will help you stay on track to do well in Multi Level Marketing. When you use these resources correctly, they go beyond simple encouragement and become an impetus to drive your business forward.

Form a cohesive Multi Level Marketing unit. Make plans and go to company events together. There are usually training seminars, sales meetings, or awards banquets that you can attend with your mentor and those you are mentoring. Make it a group effort to come together at these times to become stronger as a whole.

Multi Level Marketing is at once challenging and rewarding. Having a mentor or being a mentor puts the process on a higher plane where what you do matters to others. The great thing about that is it will improve your own individual business at the same time.
