I have Bipolar disorder which is a chemical imbalance in the brain that must be treated with medication. Therapy helps, but it can't balance out the mood swings on its own. I don’t like to take medication because they lead to other problems (side effects) as described on most meds. I can go to all the counseling i want but they will most likely try to put me on meds. I feel if I take the meds one med will lead to another med to counteract the side effects caused by the original med. So the question is do I take the meds or not?
